Poker Study With an Actual Route Through It
Arch City Poker organises training material into two format-specific libraries behind a membership, with the coaching team named and attached to the work. A player joining knows which format they are studying, what their tier reaches, and whose thinking they are learning from.
Project: Arch City Poker · Poker training & coaching
Project Overview
Sector: Education & coaching
Industry context: Competitive poker training
Product: Arch City Poker, a membership-gated study platform on the web
Positioning carried on the site: building better players, learn, improve, win
Build focus: Membership tiers with access control, two format libraries covering no-limit hold’em & pot-limit Omaha, account registration, coach profiles
Serious poker players study. What they mostly lack is any sense of sequence in what they study. Arch City Poker was built as a web platform where the material is bounded, ordered by format, and attached to identifiable coaches, rather than accumulating as an undifferentiated pile of content.
Key Features
Tiered Access to One Library
Membership level determines what a player can reach, so the same body of material serves different abilities without anyone paying for content they cannot yet use. The gain is relevant, since a player’s tier does the filtering for them.
Two Formats, Kept Apart
Separate libraries for no-limit hold’em and pot-limit Omaha, so study stays matched to the game being played. The gain is avoiding the confident error that comes from applying one format’s logic to the other.
Coaches You Can Name
The team behind the material is visible and attributed rather than anonymous. The gain is provenance, letting a member weigh whose reasoning they are adopting.
Inside the Product
Sell More Than Your Hours
Membership products live or die on where the access boundaries sit, and that is a decision worth making before anything gets built around it.
